Custom home automation in Raleigh, NC. Control4, RTI, Lutron, Crestron — one app for your entire home.

A truly smart home does not mean ten different apps. It means one button in the morning that opens the shades, starts your music, brews coffee, and brings the climate to perfect. We design and install professional automation systems that bring everything in your home together — beautifully and reliably.
Control lighting, music, video, climate, shades, locks, and cameras from a single, intuitive app on any phone or tablet.
Works seamlessly with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Home. Create custom voice scenes — "Movie time" dims lights and starts the projector.
Sunrise wake routines, geofenced "I'm home" arrivals, "Vacation mode" with random lighting — your home runs itself.
Music in every room, individually controlled. Different songs in different zones, or one song everywhere — all through one app.
Door locks, alarms, security cameras, and motion sensors all integrated. Get alerts, view live feeds, and let in trusted guests remotely.
Hardwired backbone, local control, professional installation. Works reliably for 10+ years — not a stack of consumer gear that fails in two.

Each is a different fit. Control4 is the most popular for whole-home residential — great app, large dealer network, mid-to-high-end price point. RTI is a value-engineered alternative with strong custom programming and lower cost — ideal for smaller homes and theater-focused projects. Crestron is the gold standard for luxury homes and yachts — total customization, best programming flexibility, premium price. We are certified on all three and will recommend based on your home and goals.
Yes — all three. Modern Control4, RTI, and Lutron systems integrate natively with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Home. You can speak to any one and trigger scenes, control individual lights, change temperature, lock doors, or play music. We help you set up custom voice commands during install.
Yes. The whole point of a professional automation system is that lighting, music, video, climate, shades, security, and locks all live in one beautifully designed app. We do not believe in juggling ten different brand apps — we integrate everything into Control4, RTI, or Crestron so you have one elegant interface.
Absolutely both. Most of our automation projects are retrofits of existing homes. Lutron Caséta is wireless and replaces existing switches without rewiring. Sonos requires only power. Motorized shades come in battery-operated versions. Newer security and camera systems are largely wireless. We do recommend hardwiring during new construction or remodels — but retrofits are very doable.
A starter package with Lutron lighting in two rooms and Sonos audio runs $6,000 to $12,000. A whole-home automation system with lighting, shades, audio, video, and security integration typically runs $25,000 to $75,000. Luxury systems with Crestron, in-wall touchscreens, and advanced security can range from $100,000 to $500,000+. The biggest factors are home size, the number of lighting loads, and how many systems get integrated.
Professional systems like Control4 and Crestron work locally, not in the cloud. If the internet drops, you can still control lights, music, climate, and shades from in-home keypads, touch panels, and the local Wi-Fi app. Cloud features like remote access and voice control require internet — but the home keeps working. Cheap consumer systems do not have this resilience.
A starter system (lighting + audio in 1–2 rooms) is typically a 2-day install. A whole-home retrofit takes 1–2 weeks. New construction is scheduled around the build — prewire during framing, gear install after drywall, and final programming and tuning during the last 2 weeks of construction. We work with builders all the time.
No. We do all the programming and create the scenes for you. You get a clean app and labeled keypads — "Goodnight," "Movie," "Dinner Party," "Welcome Home." Most clients learn the system in their training session and never need to think about programming. If you want to make changes later, we are a phone call away.
Yes. We use commercial-grade hardware that is designed for 10–15+ years of operation. Lutron lighting controllers, Crestron and Control4 hubs, and professional motorized shades are all built to last and easily updated. We do recommend a service plan for firmware updates and proactive support, but the core hardware is rock-solid.
The system is designed to grow. Adding a new TV, motorized shades for an addition, security cameras, or even an EV charger — all of it integrates into the existing app. We design every system with expansion in mind so you can add to it as your home evolves.
