Lutron Caséta starts at about $200 per dimmer plus app/hub. A typical whole-home Caséta retrofit (15–25 switches) runs $5,000 to $15,000 installed. RadioRA 3 systems for larger homes are $20,000 to $80,000. Custom Quantum systems for luxury homes and commercial installs range from $50,000 to $500,000+.
Caséta is the consumer-grade Lutron system — easy retrofit, app and voice control, supports up to 75 devices. RadioRA 3 is the prosumer system with bigger capacity (200+ devices), more sophisticated programming, in-wall keypads, and shade integration. For homes under 4,000 sq ft, Caséta is usually plenty. Above that, RadioRA 3 is the way to go.
Yes — Caséta is specifically designed for retrofits. Each switch replaces existing switches in the wall, no neutral wire needed in most cases. We complete most retrofits without opening walls.
Lutron has rigorous LED compatibility testing. We use Lutron-tested dimmers with LED bulbs from major brands and verify in your home. The flicker, buzzing, and limited dimming range you get with cheap dimmers does not happen with Lutron.
